Harkrader Sports Complex

Stay fit in Christiansburg by making regular visits to Harkrader Sports Park. They have a walking path, basketball court, tennis court, playground, and picnic areas. Athletes train here while sports organizers hold tournaments in the building. Harkrader hosted several nationwide events like the Top Gun Atlantic Bowl Series and Baseball World Series. 

Huckleberry Trail

If you’re more of a nature lover, the Huckleberry Trail is the perfect place to get some fresh air, stretch and walk. The trail is eight miles long and connects Christiansburg to Blacksburg. Cyclers also prefer this trail when commuting to Blacksburg because of its accessibility, beauty, and tree-lined trails. This trail also makes it easier to get to New River Mall and The Christiansburg Recreation Center. If you need to rest, there are benches along the trail.

Christiansburg Aquatic Center & Skate Park

Cool down with a refreshing swim at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center. They have pools designed for leisure and competition. Their leisure pools include a two-story waterslide and a warm water therapy pool suitable for joint rehabilitation. 

Aside from this, the competition pools feature a 500 square feet wet classroom, boardwalk, and bleachers. The building’s main level includes a fitness center and multipurpose rooms used for events.

Apart from the pool, the skate park inside the aquatic center is also open for kids and adults. The park features grinding rails, half pipes, fun boxes, quarter pipes, and more.
